Today's WANTED: Jumpsuit
Not only am I an avid blogger, but of course I'm an avid blog surfer. Last week while pa rousing through my bookmarked list of favorite sites, I stopped at (yet another) teen blogger phenomenon, Jane's blog, "Seas of Shoes."
I won't go into too much detail about this blog, because I think I will end up becoming more and more envious of her when she doesn't even deserve such jealousy! HAHAHA! But DAMN, gotta love her and her mom's style - plus their house is pretty decked out as well.
ANYWAY, back to the topic! I want this harem pant jumper thing that I saw Jane wearing:
Turns out its from Etsy's Babooshka online shop and its called the Jodphur Jumper Racerback Playsuit! What do you guys think?
I'm kinda strapped for cash at the moment, so I'm really hoping that come next payday I'll be able to get my hands on this (since there aren't many left)!!!! (PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE!!!) I think it would be PERFECT for a spring/summer day that is SOON to come right around the corner here in NY!
LTD+ Etnies and INVISIBLE NYC!
Yes, that's right, LTD+ and Etnies AND Invisible NYC (yes, the dope tattoo spot in LES) have come together to not only release a well-crafted shoe, but also to celebrate the Invisible Warrior Issue 15 of LTD tonight!
HighSnobiety featured a great interview with Hawaii Mike of LTD, which you can view HERE IN FULL. However, I just had a few more questions for HM about this particular collaboration.
My first question for Mike was, well, why Etnies? He told me that Etnies and LTD have built a great relationship over the years; from working together on joint ventures to a friendship built on respect, Mike adds:
Plus Troy [Invisible NYC] and i are cool with Jannio, Alex and a few people that work there so it was a good fit. we really like to do collaborations with people we know, usually comes out better in the end when you know the people.
The subtle designs of the shoe are significant to what Mike and Troy had in mind, I personally liked the LTD logo placements marked all over the blots of color:
We wanted everything to be subtle at first glance but have different pieces pop from different angles or when light hits them. details you might not see at first glance, the full ice sole, the reflective camo pattern and the embossed Invisible NYC logos."
So, what next? First the Nooka watch, then these Etnies... what else can we expect from LTD besides providing great editorial prints? Hawaii Mike hints:
We have another sneaker coming out with a different company in June. all i can say is that it's a brand new style and we have the privilege of being the first to hit market with it, even the inline color ways come out after ours.
I wooooonderrrrrrrr.... HMMMMMM.... All I can say is, they better make it YOSHI-SIZED (4.5 boys / 6 womens)!!!
WITH ALL OF THIS SAID! LTD + Etnies + INVISIBLE NYC is throwing an event tonight! If you guys are following on TWITTER, you'll be provided with a live broadcast through LTD's TWITTER (http://ltdplus.com/etnies), read on:
the party tonight should be craze. it will be a lot of our LTD Magazine and Etnies family, Invisible NYC crew, NYC skate heads, it's going to be madness. oh, and a bunch of the people that are featured in the Spring issue like D Nice, DJ Mick Boogie, Vashtie, Wendy from Nitrolicious should be rolling through. And of course we have great sponsors in Belvedere IX, Sprite Green and Pabst Blue Ribbon to ensure drinks are flowing. see you in a few! -Hawaii Mike
Free PBR, Belvedere and Sprite Green??? UHM - YES PLEASE! See you guys there and I'll try to twitter too =)

Calvin Klein Jeans Commerical 2009, Spring/Summer
If you haven't run into this commercial you should take a look. Go ahead press play, but make sure youre not at work ; )
What do you think? Its hot, steamy and a whole lot of sex appeal. Which is probably why it got banned in some countries. In our lovely country, its censored. It is not censored in Italy, France, Spain and Germany. I did a search on who directed this video or the ad agency behind it. Found nothing! Some say that it might have been directed by David Lynch, who has done some of the famous Calvin Klein commercials. What I do like about it is that is nostalgic to its roots. It is racy and sexy (think Kate Moss and Brooke Shields) but with a modern perspective. Calvinkleinjeans.com will be the home of the brand’s future U.S. e-commerce site. Its completion will be this summer as WWD reports.
Enjoy!

NSW Liberty Dunk S/S 2009
The hype around the following dunks are slowly, and surely (undoubtedly... -ly hehe-ly), building up, and the anticipation for the drop is going to be extreme!
At first glance, I was shocked at how much I really liked the colorway, and with a closer look I enjoyed the details of floral print because it gave the Dunk JUST enough hint of femininity without having it overly mucho femme (yes, I am tri-lingual lol). Now, why all the hoo-hah over these Liberty Dunks?
Well, not only is it driven more so for us ladies, but it is also an amazing collaborative effort between Liberty (no, not the Statue of) and Nike to introduce yet another Nike Sportswear icon for women. Evil Monito graciously reported:
On a summer 2006 visit to London, Nike designers were inspired by signature fabrics they saw at Liberty, a department store set in a famous Tudor building in the heart of the West End.
The more and more I read about Liberty (having just been introduced to the name), I began digging deeper and deeper into its roots. Liberty hails from the UK and is an incredible emporium of luxurious designs, carrying and manufacturing the latest in apparel, fabrics, accessories and body care products.
Since 1875, Liberty has been synonymous with luxury and great design. Arthur Liberty’s intuitive vision and pioneering spirit led him to travel the world looking for individual pieces to inspire and excite his discerning clientele. Liberty is not a name above the door, it’s Arthur Liberty’s legacy, which stands for integrity, value, quality and above all beautifully designed product. This vision and spirit continues today within the iconic Tudor building.
Did you guys read that? YES! Since 1875! GAH! You MUST visit their site and learn more about them... amazing!
Ok, back to the dunk. The Nike Design team used the following Liberty signature fabrics; Phoebe, Nina, Venus Leaf and Strawberry Thief – "patched together on the shoe like a quilt, intricately placing the materials side by side."

The Liberty Nike Dunk Hi will be available at the Nike Sportswear store at 21 Mercer Street, New York City. Nike Sportswear at the Montalban, Los Angeles and select Nike Sportswear retailers. Please visit www.nikesportswear.com for locations.*My new bff BetseyJ just got herself hooked up with a pair of these dunks HERE - check em! (I hope that I'll be successful enough to get my hands on a pair of these!!!)

Step Up
I usually have the TV on at all times, even if I'm not watching...just to have background noise, but when I hear this song I stop whatever I'm doing. And to my surprise it turned out to be a JCPenney's commercial. .
They are really trying to stay relevant these days with this new roster of designers including:
