Ever wanted to borrow your Barbie Doll's clothes? Well, now you can. I'm still on the fence with this one, which is pretty surprising, even for me, because if it's girly, I'll take it!

Saturday, I went to Americana at Brand, for the third time to check out Katsuya, Ironman, and the Russian...Kira Plastinina (KP) is the latest designer import, and she is only 16! More props to this mini-mogul.

KP's store was pretty empty around 8 pm. But I think that has to do with the fact that not many people are aware of KP yet, as well as the location of the store, which is right on Brand Blvd., away from the crowds. Maybe if the Trolley made a special stop?

Anyways, the store is a tween girl's dream with bubble skirts, ruffles, bright pinks, yellows, and all that glitters. There is even a section of Dylan's Candy Bar in the back (No complaints about that).

All in all my first impression is that you will definitely find cute, fun, flirty clothes for going out, or lounging around the house, and at fair prices between $20 - $200. The designs and quality of materials are at a higher standard as well, not F-21 level as far as I could tell.

But I just can't shake this feeling that I was shopping at Libby Lu, Limited Too, or Build-A-Bear. It was odd seeing women, in I think their mid-20s holding, as cute as they are, KP bags filled with their recent purchases.

I'm all for girly, like I said, but it's missing a certain class and sophistication that I would still want to maintain no matter how girly my outfit is. For now I think I will stick to Juicy Couture and Betsey Johnson to fulfill those desires. But I did see the cutest Ruffled Baby Pink Babydoll top with a huge Rosette pinned to the strap. hmmmm....

KP is a smart cookie, no doubt, using Audrina Patridge from The Hills, as the new face for her line. Hey but this is cute huh? Ugh, my inner girly-ness is saying get over your reserveration! lol...

Can't wait to see how KP is received by the masses as her stores start popping up everywhere...

Hello Lover!

My relationship with Sex and the City (SATC) began pretty late in the game, basically not until 2005 when it went into syndication on the CW. I never had cable, let alone HBO…so I missed out on the actual full episodes. But that’s quite all right, I received the First season of SATC as a Christmas gift, and I have to say it was a little jarring to see the censored scenes. So I welcomed the cut version, because after all it never was about the sex….as much as it was about the City, and the Girls: Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha.

I’ll admit it, SATC is one of the many reasons that made NYC that much more appealing. I fantasize living in NYC in Carrie’s Apartment. Her apartment and her fabulous closet that clearly doubled as her investment portfolio…

So who do I most identify with on SATC?? Well I’m going to have to cheat a little. I honestly cannot pin myself onto just one girl. Let’s see, I somewhat identify with Charlotte’s romanticized ideals (luckily I haven’t yet turned cynical), and I am definitely at a point in my life where I am as career and power driven as Miranda. And on the exterior, I appreciate Carrie’s eccentric, over-the-top fashionista-ness, which has as much to do with Patricia Field, who found the right person to carry the looks in Ms. Bradshaw.

My favorite all time Carrie Outfits would have to be all the scenes shot in Paris. Obviously, they had to go out with a bang in the final episodes of SATC. I love all of Carries ensembles in these scenes, such as the black and white striped top with another one of Carrie’s infamous oversized flowers and the beautiful dress Carrie was wearing when she fell asleep waiting for the Russian.

As for Carrie’s men, Big and Carrie were so meant to be, Aiden was alright….like Granola…lol….and I absolutely loathed Burger. He was pretty pathetic, a whiner, just sooo sad. Ugh the post-it. Yuck.

My first trip to NYC with my girlfriends happened back in June 2007. We were hard-core tourists the entire week so how could we not indulge ourselves in the SATC tour? Highlights of the SATC tour were taking pics on Carrie’s stoop, visiting the park where Miranda fell on her face before meeting Brady’s new GF, raiding the newly opened Marc by Marc Jacobs store in Soho, and finally having only exactly 1 minute to run into Magnolia’s and get some cupcakes. It was seriously my lucky day, there was no line, I ran in, grabbed a box, stuffed it with cupcakes and flung a twenty at the cashier while I simultaneously flung myself out the door, in front of our moving tour bus and jumped on. Phew! Why is it I have super human strength and agility when food and fashion are on the line?

OMFG!!!

So many good season finales this year with Gossip Girl, The Office, and now Ugly Betty. I loved all the cameos, Lohan and Campbell, and even Elle's Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director, Robbie Myers and Joe Zee. And the Elle vs. Mode Charity Softball game?! I love those uniforms, although I couldn't find any pics...but here's one with Naomi Campbell batting for Elle, with her infamous celly.

Side Note: Ladies you must get some red tights...if you are too scared and just want to try em out, I got a pair from h&m for under $4 bucks. That's less than a gallon of gas....

Anyways.....so um who do you think Betty chose? I am predicting she chose neither and chose herself. You know, so she could discover herself, by herself. Well I guess we will just have to wait and see....At least I have the Lost Finale to look forward too :-)

My superfemme for the night...Eva Longoria in surprise surprise. Marchesa! I'm telling you this designer fulfills all of my Girlicious fantasies...lol...Oh & Marchesa would like to now emphasize that only one of the girls is the designer, the other girl is the financer/co-founder. Marchesa is my new wedding dress designer. And yes they did announce they are now doing wedding dresses!

One Glass Wall...

is all that separated me from Britney Spears. I just found out from my mom that Britney Spears was working out in our gym, Bally's Total Fitness on Ventura Blvd. in Studio City. I was on the leg press right in front of the Spin Cycling room, which was walled up for her privacy. Of course I didn't know why the Spin Cycling room was walled up, or why their were photographers perched up on ladders at the windows of my Bally's. I just figured they were shooting something on location. Word is she is going to be the new spokeperson for Bally's?

After a long weekend of partying like a rockstar, 3 nights in a row from LA to SD (highlights to come), I was a complete zombie today at work after dropping Courts and Rygar at LAX early this morning. But at the end of the day, I happily found Lively in my mailbox, which couldn't have been better timing with the airing of new episodes of Gossip Girl tonight ;-) I've changed my gym schedule around this guilty pleasure.

Music, a delicate floral by Honorine Blanc of Firmenich, has top notes of clementine and sparkling pear; a heart of jasmine sambac, sweet pea and honeysuckle, and a drydown of vanilla, skin musk and sleek woods.

Okay People, we are officially less than 2 months away from the premiere of the Sex And The City Movie. Have you penciled this in your planners yet? Have you made plans with your friends to watch this together yet? I mean the Cosmos aren't going to make themselves? You think I'm getting "Carried" away? Well I'm not. Example: Courtney was planning on flying all the way to NYC to watch it with her girls. There is so much to consider, like where to watch...The Grove or Arclight?, where to eat dinner before, what bar to go to after. OMG...and what to wear?!? How could I forget? So you see why plans need to be made now? I'll give you guys a few weeks before I check in on what plans you've made! Consider yourselves warned! :-)

Well I have never personally had a desire to have a huge rhinestoned pussycat emblazoned on my left buttcheek down to my right ankle or the word PHAT...even if it is spelled with a PH...but apparently J.C. Penny believes that their teen girl customers would, as Kimora Lee Simmons launches a Junior line entitled Fabulosity, just in time for back-to-school shopping.



Impromptu children's dance classes with Britney Spears at Millenium, Fabulosity for our young impressionable teen girls...what's next? I welcome you to make your ominous predictions....

Edie Rose

According to Women's Wear Daily (WWD), Edie Rose is not the the name of the latest celeb baby to be popped out, but it is the name of the new clothing line collaboration between Rachel Bilson and DKNY jeans! This new line, named Edie after her grandmother, and Rose after a close family friend, will premiere in September, will be reasonably priced from about $20-$50, and Bilson is planning on personally wearing goods from her own line, just like we've seen Sarah Jessica Parker on the streets, proudly wearing clothes from her Bitten line for Steve and Barry's. I feel this is one of the few celeb fashion lines that is the real deal. Bilson obviously has her own distinct style, a love for Vintage, and she is even taking this time to lay low from acting to really understand the craft of design. I'm looking forward to this line, and hoping since Bilson is also a shortie, I'll be able to find pants that aren't 10 ft long. Yay!

Back in December, on a hunt for flat suede boots at Urban Outfitters, there were stacks of cards for a free subscription to Nylon Mag. To my surprise, I pleasantly received my first issue today, with Rachel Bilson on the cover, nonetheless! I've always viewed Nylon as a refreshing alternative to all of the other fashion mags out there. And the March 2008 issue is no exception.

Their current issue is their biggest ever, which I feel, after reading the spring fashion issues of Allure, Elle, Glamour, Lucky, and Vogue, simply narrows down the must-haves for Spring/Summer, and here are my favorite highlights after quickly thumbing through every page, cover to cover:

Much Ado About Nothing

What is there to say about the 80th Annual Oscars, which aired this past Sunday, February 24, 2008? People were worried that the Oscars wouldn't be able to celebrate his 80th birthday, but is that an excuse for a Blah, Blah, Blah Oscar fashion year? Or maybe it was the rain, or the fact that the writers only had 10 days to prepare, forcing montage after montage upon us. Could this have caused the designers and stylists to scramble for Oscar worthy looks --resulting in a, shall I say it again--> Blah Red Carpet fashion display? Unlike previous years, you knew you were on the red carpet of the Oscars when you saw Reese Witherspoon float down the carpet in her Aubergine Nina Ricci gown and hot new bangs in 2007 (future bridesmaids of mine will be wearing this!), or Michelle Williams who never made Saffron look so good with Vera Wang in 2006. This year the fashion spread was basically safe and predictable. But nonetheless I feel obligated to get it off my chest. It's only been two days after the Oscars, so I’m still allowed. Maybe? Well anyways here goes…

Red was the color this year:
My picks are Anne Hathaway, My Devil Wears Prada Princess, in Marchesa, I Love Marchesa!! Rosettes/Floral detail, one-shoulder, Grecian Goddess draping. Ultra-Femme.


Heidi Klum, in John Galliano Haute Couture, my Barbie-Queen, with a Regal collar and flowing train.


My Red winner is, however, Katherine Heigl who has quickly become the new movie It-Girl. She epitomizes Old Hollywood Glam in Escada, which she topped off with the hair, red lips, and unapologetic curves. She simply took my breath away.

Black or Dark-Hued gowns: Penolope Cruz is the only one I find worth mentioning although Jennifer Garner and Hilary Swank looked just as beautiful. But Cruz is my girl, looking effortlessly beautiful in a Navy Blue Chanel Couture gown→ the true definition of a dramatic red carpet look.

Of the Preggers: Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, and Jessica Alba→ Alba is my winner, in Marchesa. Again, I love Marchesa!! The plum-purple, ostrich feathers, I’ve never seen a more well-dressed baby bump.

Now for my overall winner of the night, it's actually a tie. These two girls truly represent dreams coming true on so many levels…

Marion Cotillard, Best Actress winner for La Vie en Rose, was a sultry siren to the fullest in Jean Paul Gaultier. Only a designer such as Gaultier can make a fish-scaled, mermaid inspired gown look Oscar-worthy without evoking a Halloween costume disaster a la Bjork. Can’t talk about the Oscars, without mentioning Bjork....See what I mean, everyone played it safe, nothing too exciting to write about! But anyways...look at that detailing!





Saving the best for last, Diablo Cody. Only 29 years-old, this former stripper, turned Oscar-winning Screenwriter for Juno, truly represents a woman who is sure and true to herself. She is wearing Dior by John Galliano, all the while, sporting her tats, red lips, and short, jet black hair. Her acceptance speech was humble and inspiring--I can't wait to see what else she has up her fishnet stockings. Quick! Someone get me a stripper pole!
