iDR for a cause

In efforts to broaden iDRs purpose, we've helped out the non profit organization Gilas Foundation. Gilas is an acronym for Gearing-up Internet Literacy and Access for Students. It is a project initiated by a group of private companies, and aimed at providing an Internet lab for each of the 5,443 public high schools in the Philippines. Tshirt designs were developed for the FIND conference in Washington D.C.

"When you think of marketing efforts, and non profit groups in the past, it seems to be very monotone. iDR found this an opportunity to bring some flavor in the designs that were less corporate and friendly to the audiences Gilas aiming for. It was also a chance utilize our skill set for a cause."-iDR, Design Editor.

JD Generoso, the Co-Lead of the Youth and Professional Outreach Committee, said this about iDR "With the support of iDR, we hope that GILAS will be able to crack into untapped markets that normally would not know about the project and goals of GILAS here in the United States."

iDRs wishes Gilas the best of luck and will always support their efforts in bringing technology to the forefront. Look out for more insight with JD and Jesse from Gilas Foundation to come.
